This Fall Internship is from September through December 12th (start and end dates are flexible based on school schedules) and all candidates must be able to work 10-29 hours/week, in person in the specified office location. This position is ideal for a student enrolled in an accredited college or university interested in continuing their education through professional experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Data Cleaning & Preparation:
- Assist in cleaning, validating, and transforming compensation-related datasets to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Use Excel (pivot tables, XLOOKUP, Power Query, etc.) to manipulate and analyze data efficiently.
- Support data extraction and integration from Workday and other internal systems.
- Data Maintenance:
- Help maintain compensation data repositories and ensure timely updates to key datasets.
- Support the documentation of data sources, definitions, and processes.
- Dashboard & Reporting Support
- Assist in building and maintaining dashboards and reports using Excel and/or Tableau.
- Update recurring reports and contribute to the development of new visualizations to support compensation insights.
- AI Research & Applications
- Conduct exploratory research on AI tools and techniques applicable to compensation analytics (e.g., Total Rewards-specific chatbot, job classification, automation).
- Support pilot projects involving AI/ML applications, including data preparation and result interpretation.
- Learning & Development
- Gain exposure to compensation strategy, HR systems (Workday), and analytics best practices.
- Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and mentorship opportunities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
The ideal candidate has a solid grasp of how data works. From raw collection to clean usable insights, they understand data pipelines, ETL processes, and how to structure data for analysis. Further qualifications include:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Data Science, Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field (Master’s Level preferred).
- Strong proficiency in Excel.
- Experience with dashboard creation in Tableau.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience or interest in Python for data analysis.
- Familiarity with foundational AI and machine learning concepts.
- Familiarity with Workday or other HRIS platforms.
