This Summer/Fall Trainee position is from May/June through December 12th and all candidates must be able to work 40 hours a week, Monday through Friday in person in the specified office location. This position is ideal for entry-level talent or recent graduates interested in jump-starting their career in a particular field.

Our Team
Worldwide Distribution (WWD) is based in Culver City and licenses features and series to linear and digital platforms around the globe. ThePlatform Experience (PX)group is a highly collaborative team focused on driving client engagement with Sony Pictures’ content and enabling high-impact capabilities for our clients and internal teams. Our team is responsible for a B2B technology portfolio that includes marketing, sales and analytics applications and offers access to Sony Pictures content on multiple devices and platforms.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Platform Experience (PX) team at Sony Pictures is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Trainee to support a cross-functional group focused on digital content, marketing platforms, and data operations. This entry-level position offers hands-on experience in content publishing, platform operations, features testing, and data analysis. The ideal candidate is a curious self-starter eager to contribute to real-world media workflows and expand their skills at the intersection of technology, design, and data.
Content Management & Publishing(35%)– Assist in gathering and managing regional content. Support title and event page publishing using internal CMS tools. Ensure timely and accurate updates to marketing content across web and email platforms.
Data Collection and Analysis(35%)– Responsibilities include collecting and cleaning data from internal sources to ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness. Conduct exploratory analysis to uncover trends or discrepancies that inform platform features and campaign approach. Support data visualization and export testing using tools such as Tableau, Excel, or R. Help document insights and QA dashboards to ensure high-quality reporting outputs for stakeholders.
Features Testing and Documentation (20%) –Participate in user research and user acceptance testing (UAT) for platform features and new tools. Assist in documenting issues and validating fixes during product releases. Team Collaboration & Experimentation (10%)– Attend team stand-ups and planning sessions. Provide ad hoc support across ongoing projects and engage with cross-functional partners in marketing, sales, data analytics and information technology. Assist with team experiments and innovation efforts, including generative AI and emerging technologies.
QUALIFICATIONS:
What we are looking for:
- Recent graduates in Marketing, Technology, or Business
- Proficient in MS Office Suite
- You’re expert in MS Excel or Google Sheets (pivot tables are a must)
- A passion for media and entertainment
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Detail-oriented, professional, self-starter, with a passion for getting things done
- Enthusiasm for learning and working in fast-paced, collaborative environments
It’s a plus if you’re familiar with:
- Web publishing or CMS tools
- Digital design tools (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva. Figma)
- Email marketing platforms (e.g. Salesforce, MailChimp)
- Data cleansing and visualization platforms such as R, Tableau, or similar
